prayers for no rain

Post by 03Mach1 »

So is anyone else planning on attending the MCA Grand National Car Show in Bellevue, Washington in July? Should be a big show. I know that it rains nine months of the year in Seattle, so I am hoping for a normal summer and sunny skies. Here's the link if interested.

We were in OR for the non-rainy season and never saw the sun.

Anyone going to Muscle Cars at the Mansion in Oct 2010? Held at the Playboy Mansion? My Mrs said NO!

Yea, a few years back, that would've been a possibility........ wife=no....

Isn't there something like a $750 entry fee? Still though, how many chances would one have to go to the playboy mansion, meet Hef, and hang out with bunnies..........

Looks like a nice show, have fun, stay safe! Meet any McLaren owners, pass on this URL ~ I know what 'ya mean for pray for no rain. I have a show this coming Sunday. the 16th - an open to all, show. About 80-100 cars. I like this particular show as it's shady, and the sun wrecks havoc with chemo. If it's sunny & hot, I have found out that I can't stay more than 90 minutes and I gotta go !! I might do 2+ hours with shade.
It's in one of the richest towns in Jersey, so there are alot of UNusual vehicles showing up.

Pray for no rain and not too much sun! Like cloudy and mild, around 68 -70 degrees - no rain & partly cloudy.

That's what I was thinking-when else could a regular person get to hang out there? Is that compelling enough for the Mrs? Yep tix are $599 now and go up to $750 next month.

Good luck for good weather this weekend Sandy!

I drive the vert at night Alot. I tend to stay out of the sun as much as possible. And it's a dry heat. I couldn't stand 80 in NY with 75% humidity. Here I'm good t 95 or so as long as I'm in the shade.

I have ro take the '90 'Vert ~ the Silver Anniverrsary, because it's the only one that I have prepped so far. It garners the least attention of the bunch. The Coupe & Azura Blue 'Vert garner much more attention. Also I am afraid to take the coupe, because it's wearing its original NJ Motor Vehicle INSPECTION sticker on the windshield, with the big bold 1986 on it ! The Azura Blue was last inspected in 2000 ~ only 10 years & 80 miles ago, officer. The Silver one is a better bet, as it has a 2005 sticker !!
The Cadillac also wears its original N.J. Inspection sticker (1993).

We don't participate in that there particular program.

Well, 'ya, Wife's Jeep Cherroke goes. It's current with a 2009 sticker.
The D.D. Daily Driver of mine, last went in 2008. that's pretty good....

In NC, they automatically fine you something like $250 if you don't have your inspection current. You can't register the car unless you pay up the fines on it.

I will take my 3 McLarens very soon, to my LMF dealer. They know me REAL well. I know I will pass. Meanwhile i will get them fresh oil and filter and check the anti-freeze for winter. A big 2010 will be on there.

I show with the top UP. When it's mid-way to the end of the show, I lower the roof. As you might imagine, the COUPE garners waaay more attention, than either 'Vert does! Something about the orange wheels and stripes, stops 'em cold. and they come over to eyeball the "Mustang"
I saw the weather 4-cast... 70-73 degrees...that is great !! But.....
SUNNY :puke:

Show tomorrow at Leisure Lanes, in Hudson, Florida. Forecast/ partly cloudy, high maybe 88, no rain.

Torn between taking the McLaren or the Vette. Had them both detailed this week and they both look superb! The wife REFUSES to drive any of the 'collector' cars. She doesn'y understand, it's her I love not the cars. But, I guess, she isn't taking any chances! Plus she's the cashier for breakfast at the NCO Club.

Ungh, It is pouring here! I've only had the car out once thus far this year. It is hailing right now! The dog is trying to hide under me as I'm typing.
I wish blue jeans, old cars, and boots would go out of style.
