The effects of the chemo that I am recieving are very managable. Nasty - but managable, as I have been on it so long, I have learned its schedule on my body - so I just plan around it.
I go evry other week, on Monday. I am going, today. Later today, and Tuesday & Wednesday I am fine. Beginning on Thursday I am getting sick. By Thursday I am "Dog-Sick" ! This lasts through late Saturday. This being Dog Sick, as i call it. I mean, I pee on the carpeting, nip my wife's ankles, and knock over my feed bowel!!
By Sunday - afternoon I am okay and perfect by Monday. Then I have 2 weeks until we repeat. I am used to it. I am on my 4th year of this.
It is a long process. There are worse things. I have seen them in the hospital.
But this flu I have (had) !! was really misarable! I mean ... I have had the flu before, but this one re-wrote the books. I still have a stuffy nose.
It's hard to get well when one's ability to fight normal germs, when one is on chemo. I have now had this flu, in various stages - for a month.
Sneezing, runney nose, that kind of tuff.
It's raining here, today and I jhate to go out in it - but I have to go as I have not had ANY chemo in 1 month.
SOoo, by tomorrow I will be mixed up, confused, dizzy, no desire to eat and peeing on the rug and nipping my wife's ankels, and possibly hitting my feed bowel down the stairs.
