1986 ASC Capri vert #0001 For Sale

Post by KHummel66 »

As much as I don't want to sell this car, time, a new job, and a move to a different state make selling it the lesser of all evils.

Since purchasing the car 3 years ago, I have acquired replacements for some of the missing or inoperable parts (top frame, airbox, carpet. interior trim, etc), yet I have not been able to devote the time needed to get it running and back on the road. It has been on the 4 post in the garage for the last 2 years.

In addition to being ASC/Mclaren S/N #0001 for 1986, it's color also makes it one of the 12 limited Edition Spring Special cars, and per Sandy, the only one of the 4 V8's that came with an auto trans.

It does have some rust in the truck lid and the rear corners, but I have a new trunk lid. The gas tank will need to be cleaned and some work will need to be done to get her fired and running, but this is a very unique car and quite rare in the world of ASC Capris.

Asking $2,500, but take a look and make an offer...send me a message or call my cell 513-304-1911.

A few pics here (if the links work), and more in my album...

And links to a couple threads on the car...

Keith,
I just checked into the site for the first time in a while and found your ad.
I am really sorry to hear that you are forced to sell your red beauty. GLWS
I recently bought an 84 SVO that has turned out to be a money hole, or I would snap this up in a minute.
I have been sick since I let my black 85 roadster go before leaving Des Moines when I moved to Az two years ago.

Is everything else going with you in your move?
Ron
