Parting out '86 ASC Mclaren Capri

Post by Mattatdelk »

Hello everyone. Let me start off by introducing myself. This is Matt Crawford From Delk Performance in Lebanon, TN(We are a full mustang performance shop, Dyno Tuning facility, as well as a Mustang only salvage yard). We recently bought a wrecked '86 Mclaren. Before we started parting out the car and putting the parts on eBay, I wanted to give some of the Enthusiasts a chance to inquire about the parts. (If a business is not allowed to post in the classifieds, please accept my apologies)

Some information on the car

'86 Capri (Mclaren)
5.0/AOD

The car is 100% stock other than having a Paxton Supercharger.

The car is red with tan top, and tan leather Recaro interior. The car was hit hard in the nose. Fenders, core support, bumper and hood were all damaged beyond use.

I will check out this thread from time to time, however the best method to contact me will be directly via email. Matt@delkperformance.com

As I mentioned before, I really want to give the McLaren owners a chance to get parts before I "toss" everything on eBay. These are rare cars and I really hate that one was damaged, however in a situation like this the owners of other cars can benefit by being able to purchase hard to find parts that might not otherwise be available elsewhere.

Can you post some photos so that we can see how the remaining parts look?

Thanks.
Robert

That did get hit hard in the front.

If someone wanted to fix it, how much would you want for the whole car?

Those don't look like factory rims either.

Very good eye. I just noticed that these wheels are enkie's. They are a similar "90's style" mesh wheel, however they do not have the McLaren or the proper part #'s to match.

Matt, very nice of you to do this. That was a very nice looking car not too long ago.

The seller emailed me. The car could be purchased whole if possible.

How is the tonneau cover? Any Rust? Is it straight and flat? I would possibly be interested in it for my '85 depending on cost and if you would ship it.

Shame...... :(

Car looked to be pretty clean before the accident.

they're still dropping like flies.

Lots of good parts on this one.
