This car is exceptional. Be aware that it has been on the web 4-sale for four (4) continous years, by a classic car dealer in Texas.

It's beautiful. The red on red is a bit too much though....

The nicest combo with the red was the 1990 only, white leather & white vinyl roof. 3 such cars were made. Ultimately, all 3 were "totalled" and went to junk yards. Mass, Calif & Ohio

Yes, but look at the condition and the mileage. It's a show-ready, flawless car. Ya get what ye pay for, you do know that, Yes ?

The most important reason why I bought an ASC McLaren was because I love these cars! I had skeptics tell me contrary that it would not be a wise investment and to me I think they are wrong but it doesnt matter I own what I want. My only set back was lack of performance enhancements that would have certainly hands down placed this car on everyones to have list. I hope to some day have my '88 done the way I want it and a '90 just lke one of yours Sandy, I love your cars and talk about pick of the litter too, one that was supposed to be an anniversary edition and the other last production model. I'd be happy for a very low mileage nice combo colors / options, imacculate condition. Oh and if they do come out with another McLaren I want one in the stable as well.

I don't have the money to allocate to this "project" ~ but I wonder IF I did have the money to splurge on it ~ if it would be a wise decession.

I can obtain THE material, in THE color, that ascMcLaren was going to use on the dozen Silver Anniversary Editions. In bulk, that is. I could have a top shop remove my outer cambria cloth (black) top/window(s) and recover the top in the Aresma Silver material, and transfer the tri-windows to the new/old top, actually creating the Silver Anniversary.

But....Why? So far, I can't answer that :?

Also makes it impossible to run a Carfax. What're they hiding?? Maybe there's other reasons it's such low mileage with no buyers in how many years.

Is it really worth $24K ??

How many of these 10 you think are still on the road ?? Which brings up an interesting point, just how many of the ENTIRE production are still on the road ?? Are they really rarer than we think ??

Judging from the length of time that it has been for sale and the fact that no one has stepped up to pay that price, unfortunately the answer (so far) is no. Regardless of how much we wish it was otherwise, the value of a car is only what someone is willing to pay for it.

Some more food for thought: Did any of you look at the other cars that he has for sale? He has a low mileage 1972 plain jane Gran Torino for which the opening bid is close to $12,000.00.

I have a soft spot for those Torinos (as they are brothers to my '75 Cougar), but even I would not pretend that the guy has a chance to get that kind of money for one.

He also has a '95 Saleen Mustang for which he is asking $44k. C'mon.
