I chatted with Sandy many times about my ASC as well. Such a selfless man. He will certainly be missed, along with his almost infinite knowledge. Peace be with him.

I ordered mine over two months ago for my '85 ASC, and haven't gotten a reply, and haven't seen anything in the mail. I also ordered one for my '79 Pace Car and got it within 7 days.

Not looking good for my '85.

It's been a while since I've posted. I have made some changes to my ASC over the last few months. I had plans to leave it mostly stock, but have somewhat faulted on that. I really like looking at pics of other ASC's, so I don't mind whoring out mine too.

I wish I had some extra cash, I'd pick up that coupe. It needs a few things, and it's not perfect, but it's not bad either.

I once bought an '81 Capri that was traded in to our dealership for $250. They sold me the car for the same $250, but I also had to pay the $250 doc fee. I worked there and still had to pay it. It's rediculous if you ask me, but from my experience, there's no way around it.

Just about every dealer I know charges "doc fees". They charge anywhere from $100-$400. This pays for title transfer, the title clerks time, and various other things. I've never agreed with it, but I've always had to pay it. Used or not.

This is the gentleman I purchased my McLaren from. He is a real straight up guy. Have no worries dealing with him.

I was told that '85's don't have the "ASC McLaren" grille emblem. I have a blue/orange '85 Capri coupe. It currently doesn't have a grille emblem and it doesn't look right, but I was told it's not supposed to be there.

I've seen aftermarket sunroofs and this certainly isn't one of them.

True, but is it dealer installed?

We find a good deal of dealer installed sunroofs and troofs on Mustangs and Capris. ALL SVOs that you see with a TRoof have been dealer installed. They look 100% factory but are not.

Not unless it was prior to '97. I purchased the car from Jeremy Wagner in Allentown, PA. He has owned the car since '97. I don't know the owners names before he owned it. I could probably find out though.
