You might be waiting a while. It does happen but usually the car has to be in a pretzel before somebody doesn't try and fix it....and by then the Toneau is toast.

Talk to DaytonaTim. I think he made one on the cheap that he says will see him through for a bit.

Bump. Still trying to find a tonneau for an asc mustang. My project is still half done so its not a super huge priority and i know it may take awhile. Im willing to accept almost any condition.

How much did Hank quote you on his prices? You may be able to have one custom made for less imo. Depending on what your expectations are with this car that might not be a bad idea. If I had extra cash floating around I would love to have a carbon fiber tonneau made w/o the vinyl pad and instead have it elevated with perhaps a similar appearance to a later model Saleen tonneau if you can picture what I am saying.

Yes, I did finish the tonneau cover. It turned out pretty good. I will post some pics this week.

I got the pic of my home made tonneau cover.

I wasted most of my time trying to get the naugahide to stretch down and cover the vertical section of the original covered area. It is beyond me how the uphostery people do it!!!

So I just made an upholstered horizontal section and applied some scrap 1/8 inch oak plywood, that was left over from our kitchen remodeling, to the vertical section. I just made sure the upholstered section over hung the plywood to kill the raw edge of the plywood.

Some day when I find a 6 foot section of teak veneer on Ebay I will buy it and apply it over the oak. That should help it blend in and look more "stock"

As far as price goes:

naugahide remnant $15.00
foam to build up horizontal section (Free) scraps given to me by an upholster shop
3/8" plywood for upholstery backing $15.00
1/8" oak plywood for vertical section Scrap $0.00
metal for echelon Scrap 0.00
time about 15 hours (including my first failed attempt at upholstering the vertical section

Grand total $30.00

Satisfaction of building it myself..........Priceless.... :D
