1984 ascMcLaren Capri Recaro Figure

Post by 87ASC »

I don't think anyone would know this question because the information I think was burned for 1984 and 1985 ascMcLaren Capri's but, how many 1984 ascMcLaren Capri's being Convertible (or it could be the Coupe's too if you have that information) were produced that year with Recaro seat's?
Thanks,
Donovan.

the coupes would be the stock 1984 RS netted Halo Sport Seats (not recaros).

The verts would have all used Recaros.

According to Sandy, the 84s (and many 85s) were built as spec units. Meaning they were built with no options available to choose from. So the 84s "should" be built all exactly the same.

When options started creeping in, then you had all kinds of differences.

Options began with "Job-1" of the 1986 models. Sport Seats became the standard seat in the 'Verts with the Recaros a $1,765.00 option.
Coupes added the availability of Power Door Locks/Hatch Release & locking Fuel Door. Coupes added the option of Automatic Transmission and T-Top or Pop-Up Manual Sun Roof, coupes added Optional Axle Ratio (N/C option).
Sandy passed away in 2012. He will be forever missed.
