If any of you guys want to give a second life to leather go to this site: http://www.leatherique.com/
I used that stuff on my old Ferrari seats and they came out nice. They give the leather its soft feel again. And the smell is like new leather again.

I guess I forgot to mention it in my previous posts, but I used Leatherique products for refinishing my seats. The product and customer service were very good.

I have a set of power 94-98 mustang GT leather seats in mine. They are very comfortable and as a result I haven't been in a hurry to restore the Recaro's in my attic. They fit the car fine.
In my case I removed the seat belt retainer that was mounted to the seat by the head rest and also swapped out the head reast's for a set of early fox body "netted Halo's" (not shown) in the first pic, they are standard Halo head reasts. the second pic shows the "netted Halo's"
By the way they were re-dyed to match the original asc color.

Those seats look great. That's exactly the kind of seats that I am envisioning, if I can't get the Recaros fixed up at a reasonably cheap price.

Seats

Post by 87ASCMcSteve »

Hi All,

I have an '87 and the perforated sections on my red interior were cracked and looking bad! Tried to find same color red leather to re-upholster just those sections but couldn't. Settled on black and it's a nice contrast with the door panels that are black on top anyway. So I went to an embroiderer who duplicated the ASCMclaren script from the original seats via computer and then embroidered the script on the new pieces of black leather in red stitching. The upholsterer then installed the new pieces into the original red seat surrounding areas. Looks fabulous! Since the embroiderer has the "die" already created now, if anyone wants to get new pieces stitched, or anything else i.e hats, shirts, etc., just let me know. They tell me that they'll keep this "die" indefinitely. I don't know how to attach pictures to this website, so cannot pass those along.

Mike, your comma made it into the link, such that the link will not work. I'm sure that everyone can figure out how to type it in correctly, but you know, for convenience sake . . . .
