Honestly...I don't think he would know. He would have answered if he did.

Since asc verts are not often raced, not many people bother finding out their weight. My guess is its going to be slightly more than a Mustang vert.

The earlier verts would weigh more due to the extremely large backbone put in them.

Most truckstops have a scale you can pay to weigh your car. Or a moving and storage company might. Or even a gravel pit type of operation. I've weighed a car at all three and had no problem. Btw, my coupe weighed 3200 with half tank of fuel.

RIGHT ! (I don't know)

But, I'd have to agree with Tom. My guess? 3,500. Don't forget, because of their age (1984-1990) I am pretty sure that they have steel frames, rather than aluminum.

By coincidence, a guy in my local SVT Club brought his scales to last month's club meeting. I was going to have the McLaren weighed, but then ended up not driving it that day for a variety of reasons.

The same guy is expected to bring his scales to the August meeting as well. If he does so, I will be sure to have my car weighed and report the results.

Good point. I will try to remember to fill it up on my way to the meeting.

What about the aftermarket cd player that a previous owner installed in the trunk?

In New York the weight of the vehicles is on our titles. I wouldn't go by those figures though. My '87 says 2987lbs and the '88 I imagine is 3200lb range.
