the first one is also a panaramic that was 2 shots that my camra made into 1 so its kinda off. you can see the line down the center if you look hard.
if i had some type of card or flyer to pass out about this site i could have given out 10 of them today... lots of people with cars like ours that have never heard of our site most of them didnt have there cars with them.
lots of questions...
one guy i spoke to swore he once had an 86 mustang ascmclaren coupe... i told him there was no such breed but he wouldent give up. i just agreed he said hank has one too hes turning an 87 t top mustang into an 87 ascmclaren mustang coupe. ????

that was me good so you do remember me then and it was a 1986 mustang mclaren vert not a coupe and the the car i have is a hatch not a coupe.i need to go through the secretary of state and pull the vin and post it here to prove it.i don't have a pic of it but i will look through my old pics and see. it's funny how a conversation can go and i knew you had a hard time with it when you said that they didn't make mustang mclarens prior to 87 and a few prototypes.i have a friend who is the brother in law to peter muscat i will try to get ahold of him and see if pete new how many of these were produced.i don't take offense peter because if someone were to come up to me and tell me that they owned an 86 mustang mclaren convertible i would think they were nuts too. but i will look into it and post .

i traded in for a white on white convertible vette back in 1994.i was told by the dealer that someone from ohio bought the car.when i had it i changed it to look more like an 88 mclaren.i had it painted british racing green and had the mclaren tan interior put in it.the only thing that i didn't change was the 86 dash and i sprayed it black and put an asc mclaren rear bumper emblem between the vents on the passenger side and it looked factory.we all have regrets and had i known what i really had i wouldn't have changed it and would have held on to it.i bought it from a guy from grand blanc back in 1991 or 1992.
I noticed no one displays their McLaren 'verts with the tonneau cover up. When people see that they come over to check it out to see what's different. Try it. I keep a lamenated article on the car to post on the windshield at shows too. Starts alot of conversations.

Thats a good idea. The only thing about that is - People like to touch, and with one slight bump that thing could come swinging down into the partially lowered top causing damage. I saw quite a few people stopping to look at our cars thru the day. Which is a little surprising as we got put out on the back 40 in no man's land, and on a steep hill to boot. You can't tell from the pictures.

2 photos posted in the 1989 album. 4 years the '87 sat in my driveway and the night it was being picked up I finally took a photo. I really wanted to get them together with my neighbors Daves white '88. Never did. I'll get the new owner to bring it over when he gets back from MN with it.
