I got a new garage and WOW

Post by Sandy »

My prior garage was financially really hurting me, BIG TIME!! So very expensive!! But, truth be told, I was kinda sorta lazy to look for something else. Wife got after me as she's been getting pissed over how much I spend for decent storage, for the 3 McLarens and the '93 Caddy 60-Special.

SOOoooo, today I looked in the paper and hit a bonanza! 3.4 (note to point) miles from my house, a hidden oasis! She's a turn of the century building, but heated and air conditioned ! Dehumidified, too. She's a large building, HIDDEN at the end of a private, narrow paved road. She has a power door and is hard wire alarmed to the police. She also is equipped with a fire alram to the fire dept and has her own inside sprinkler system. There are NO windows to look into and no windows on the w-i-d-e garage door!
Inside:
My God...All beautiful polished hardwood flooring !! Overhead florescent lighting & bright and happy. There is assigned parking spaces, and there are 10 renters in 10 w--i--d--e spaces, that park at an angle like this:

I have driven down the street this little lane is off of for "only" 20 years and never ever noticed this. It looks to be like a 100 year old place where possibly they shod horses. He had 2 spaces available. I took only one. Perhaps I should have taken two, but I didn't.

Now, here in New Jersey, land of killer property taxes and super duper killer income taxes, normally this place would fetch $ 335.00 a month.
I paid what he asked. That was $ 175.00 @ month. The place I am presently in - that I will pull out of in a day or two or three, is currently at $ 280.00 and I got notice that she is going to $308.00 on October 1st

God, I am so happy and blowen away by the relic of the 1900s exterior and a 2000 interior. In a week or so, I will post pictures - but pictures cannot do it justice.
Sometimes, infrequent however, life is good to me. Last time was in 2003.

Very good one the garage score! As for life, my friend I believe it has been very good to you as of late. After all, you are still alive! Many do not have that chance.

Shiny Side Up!

This is true, very true. Mentally, I never accepted death. I had a very good outlook. I took a sleeping pill once in a while, at nite so that I would not lay there and think and worry. I kept as busy as i could and kept a very upbeat outlook. I think this helped...alot!

As I said, I didn't smoke, didn't drink, never did "drugs" nor pot. Wasn't my thing, cars were my thing. Yet, I got this. I gave it to myslef, outta fear. Fear IS the stronger emotion in mankind. I was simply terrified of a colonoscopy and reasoned that Mpm & Dad never had one & both lived to 80. But a small polyup emerged in my colon. Who Knew? It grew, and turned cancerous. I had no clue until I saw little bitty teeny tiny blood spots on my crap. Then - - I later found out, when ya see such...
IT'S TOO LATE!!!

That is why I told everone on here over age 47 to go get a colonoscopy. It's not too bad, can save your life, is all over in 3 hours, and your insurance will pay for most of it, and if you have NO insurance, it's THE best $$$$ you can spend. DO IT. :hello:

PS / IF you ive in New Jersey, go to Dr. Glen Mogan, Northfield Avenue in West Orange, N.J.
He is 1 of the top 20 such Drs. in the USA. It's $3,000.00
