the convertible top question, once again

Top is (typically) wrong, from an aftermarket mfgr. who cannot copy.
Like poor counterfeiters

The rear SMALL plastic windows are to high. Their height from bottom to top is the same as the center big window's height ! NO ! Wrong, they are supossed to be like 1" shorter at the top & 1" shorter at the bottom, and do not have that little curve along their bottom line ... Also the stitching is totally off. It is not supposed to come straight down alongside the little wrap around plastic rear window.

Also, it doesn't look like it has the side pieces to cover the tops of the windows -

Hi guys, when I bought my car the new top from Hank came with it in the trunk and also the invoice to proove. The original top was really bad. But when I installed the new one I noticed diffences. So I suspect the top not to be a NOS. The edges above the door glasses were not the same at all. The original top had an additional strip to pass the wire in it. The new one does not have that, the wire has to go directly in the edge and the top does not come as far down over the glass. Also the velcro strips are not done the same way.

Try to slip your fingers between the interior side of the roof (sitting in your car) between the underside of the top (interior side) AND the interior cross bars (directly over your head), and see if you can slip your finger-tips between the roof material and the aluminum bar. IF something stops your fingers going all the way thru, and out the other side, you HAVE the Velcro strips, if your fingers happily slip right on thru and out past the bar, you do not have the velcro strips.
