# 23 of 65 looks good. Looks like the oem Roof, has the stitch pattern is 100% correct.
Looks original as some typical wear to the driver's seat is visable. All in all it's one a person after a really nice would want to own!
You'll be needing a driver side red door reflector and a set ofne MUSTANG plastic headlight covers for her, to begin with.
Hank for the reflector lens & your Ford dealer for the headlights lens.

There were indeed a FEW suspension parts that were also on the LX V-8 Police Pkged. 2-door V-8 Coupes, namely the quick steering ratio Pwr. Steering and the front suspension. Not the entire Police Pkg. but a few of its pieces.

Sandy, the quick steering and power steering was on ALL 5.0 Mustangs.

The front suspension changes are something I would have to check with someone but I don't think there were any.

NO BIDS ??? WTF ? Too nice a car for zero bids. That's scary !!
Especially for a 1990

I've received no offers on mine, so it isn't all that surprising. Just not a good time to sell I'm afraid.

The only changes to the SSP from a standard 5.0 suspension came about in 1992. And then it was only a bushing change in the rear upper control arms. The only structural difference in the floor pans was an additional bracket welded/pop riveted under the rear of the driver's seat.

Steering...same as any other 5.0 equipped Mustang of a given model year.

That's all folks.

I'm not surprised. Its not a good time to sell anything unfortunately. Houses, cars, boats, etc. especially things that could be labeled a "toy", people don't have extra money right now laying around.

I have a boat I'm trying to sell that I have priced in the average range of similar boats for sale like it. I'd prefer to not just give it away for peanuts......

So I guess he's technically correct as the '90 SSP Coupe would be no different than a regular 5.0 Mustang coupe.

Did the SSP get engine mods in 90? I thought they did.

The ONLY standard engine mods are oil-to-water engine oil cooler mounted between filter and block and different fan clutch which engaged at lower temps than stock.

Optional were silicone hoses and upgraded amp alternator. My Oregon State Police SSP had neither from new as evidenced by the original date coded items still on the car.

No internal engine mods were made, no emissions changes, no exhaust changes, no suspension changes other than the different bushings after sometime in '92. But we have found evidence that the auto trannys may have used different valve bodies and a few other small changes not yet fully detailed.

To claim a McLaren was based on an SSP is just trying to inflate it's value. Look at the pre-modified pics in my Fotki. Those cars have t-top doors, GT exhaust, GT front bumper cover and who knows what else. That's not an SSP.
