Phantom Red '86 ASC McLaren coupe

I've been tossing this around in my head for a while, I need to pull out photoshop and see what I can come up with. It would be a phantom, but how would a red w/black stripe '86 fully packaged '86 Coupe look? I think it would be pretty slick looking... black stripes, black/polished mesh wheels, and of course the full ground effects package, etc. Something different, and I think the color would fit it well. Bright Red, not canyon red.

I think it would look awesome, but then again (with the exception of the black wheels), that is what I got when I put the ground effects on my Crimson Cat back in '86! It's also what I will end up with when that car gets resurrected - great minds!

Chris, you must not have seen my post last weekend. My buddy says there is a red 86 capri coupe with orange ascmclaren stickers in his storage units that he manages. He hasnt gotten specifics yet for me. As soon as I do I will let you all know.

The last time my CC was road presentable was before digital cameras were affordable. I'll have to dig around my old paper photos to see what I can come up with and try to scan them in.

I'm just amazed that what you described is identical to what I have in mind too.

I'm anxiously awaiting more info on this car. I'm thinking the orange stripes on red aren't the most complimentary combination. The car has to be a normal Capri that an owner added the asc bits onto.

Chris, it wasnt red as he first thought. It was gray with the orange stripes. It was leaving as he got there so he still hasnt talked with the guy.
