Is it not true that in order to CHANGE bezels and/or switch plates & switches, that the door panels have to be removed? True or False ?
I don't know.... I am asking. If the answer IS yes, THEN I DO NOT BELIEVE that ascMcLaren changed these parts.
1.) Waste of original materials
2.) Who paid asc for the work to do such?

I100% believe they were installed on line, at Ford.
I think 1986 was the last year for the SVO
Mustang, perhaps FoMoCo allocated all the black
bezels to the SVOs and when they ran out
of the black, the McLaren cars
subtituted the chrome.

That makes a lot of sense. Good. One less thing I need to do.

Yeah the switch bezel is easy to replace. But wouldn't the black switches need to be spliced in also ?

Don't they just pop in too from the front? Or are those from the back side. I can't remember now.

To the Capri Lovers out there.
When I bought the Capri I was working across from Detroit, Michigan. The problem was I couldn't drive it to work. The guys from the " Hood " we're stealing cars out of our parking lot. I am talking cars that my coworker just took delivery on and I went back out to look at the car and it was gone. So I didn't drive it to work, I took it for a drive once in a while. When the plates expired in 1988 I just drove it down the street and back. Later I trailered it to a couple car shows. As far as that drivers door goes! It came from the dealer that way, I didn't see it when I picked it up that night. I did check with dealers body shop parts manager who lives across the street. He told me the records were destroyed when they went to computers. I never took it back to the dealer for any thing. I was going to use it for my winter car but was talked out of it by my wife and friends. The Capri is only "ORIGINAL" only once and when it's been painted the secound time it "NOT ORIGINAL" anymore. We thought someone would enjoy it a lot more then us. I am still in to Mercury's but they have to be Factory race cars like AFX & BFX Comets with 427's & 289 ci HiPi's. Thanks for giving me a chance to respond. A Viet Nam Vet. -- AFX DAVE --
