"Crash Test" '84 roadster MI Craigslist $350 UGLY!
Test?
Since this was a Ford authorized product, Ford did all the front end crash testing (front clip, bumpers, dash and steering wheel) at first design. ASC modified the frame (aka roof) and it would make sense to test rear end collision and frame strength. It would appear this was a rear end collision as the front end is mostly unaffected. It looks like the console reinforcement did its job and only slightly deformed.
