5 speed in 86 Mclaren Roadster?

Is there a different console piece for a manual shift in the roadsters? Or, did they just cut out part of the automatic piece (to make the hole bigger)?

I have a chance to pick up a sweet 86 Mustang GT with a 5 speed at a really great price and I could swap transmissions between the two cars and turn around and sell the Mustang.

...just can't leave it alone...

Hi, Just checked on Hank's site. He only lists one insert. So , I guess It will work for both gears and auto.

Thanks for the info! I saw that Henry only had one style, I was hoping that there wasn't a special one that wasn't available anymore!

I saw the red one on eBay that is being parted out and it appeared to have a larger hole cut in the cover. That's what got me thinking. Now, I guess I just have to decide if I want to do the swap-out.
