He's a good bidder! Stayed outta it until the end. Did ya notice he got his bid in 3 seconds before it was over ??

Thing is, these seats will only be CORRECT in a 1987 or 1988 that allready had them in there from Day-1.

I beleive that the electrical connectors for the many seat controls & stereo headrests would be missing from a car that was originally ordered without these seats. There would be no plug ins for the wires under these here seats. They'd be plain wrong in a 1989 or a 1990 and the Mercury Capris of 84 85 & 86 did not come with Gray interior, so they would not match, the Sand Beige, Charcoal-Black or Regatta Blue colors of the Capri SC.

Hank, not being a purist to the bone, will sell them to whomever comes up with his price, first. They could put them in a 1955 Chevy Pick-up as far as Hank is concerned.
I truly hope they find a home in 87 or 88 with grey interior that is needy of totally new seats! That's the guy that should get them !

If Hank pays $1.2k for those seats, then they are worth $2.5k. I seriously doubt the man is going to spend over half of what he could resell them for.

There is a good possibility that if you called him up in a month looking for a complete NOS set of those seats, he will quote you $2.5k....and a good possibility that they may have already been SOLD.

The question that I keep asking myself is: If I saw the same NOS seats, but in tan for the Capri, would I pull the trigger at that price? It's hard to say. That's a lot of cash for just seats.

Being the next highest bidder (placed one minute before it ended) I did noticce that he bid 3 seconds before it ended!
