Car must be a VERY VERY late 88 or a california car. The car is a mass air car. I dout someone converted it to mass air from speed density(possible, but not necessary for the stock engine that I am able to view)..

I think Mustang production was 211,225 in 1988.

So his VIN of:
1FABP40E7JF220747
would mean his car is about the:
120747th Mustang
which is getting towards the back half of the year but not really that "late". Maybe it is a CA car.

I belong to the Special Service Mustang group also and we've found that cars shipped to AZ in '88 could also be equipped with mass air. We don't know why but the ones that have turned up have Phoenix dso's and were used by the AZ DPS. So I suppose it's possible they went to other states as well and it hasn't been researched real well.

I see from the window sticker that this car was sold new in Texas.

Claret-Wine roof over black-Cherry is YEEECH ! (Replacement Roof) see white stitching seam across top of rear plastic window that curves sharply around the small rear triangular windows and then drops straight down like a brick falls.
Car has ALOT wrong with it. Heater core, Exhaust, trashed seats, badly faded dash pad, why the screw in the tonneau cover at rear center ? BTW, return to the old YAHOO site, for a moment. THAT'S the car pictured there on Pg. 1. That picture was from the LAST time it was on e-bay with a different set of 12 pictures!
