Water Pumps

Ok what is the part # of the water pump that will fit a 89 Asc.
Garage has ordered three in and none will fit.
Anyone know where to get one in Australia?

very very easy to get a pump to fit a 5.0 HO engine. Not sure what the problem your shop is having...kinda worrying about them. A correct pump is a reverse spin type. These are all the serpertine driven water pumps. All they have to ask for is a 5.0 HO from an '89 GT Mustang. The pump from many years will work, but Ford did make a few running charges in the flow design.

The best water pump for a 79-93 Mustang will be your late 1993 pump, the same one fitting to the SVT Cobra. Rob Hunt, robbob36 on eBay I think, was selling a lot of Ford remanufactured 93 CObra water pumps recently.

As for the aftermarket, Edlebrock sells one of the best for a 5.0 w/ serpentine belt.

This is the garage my dad takes his car to.I am a gardener not a mechanic

i told them it was the water pump. They found a pinhole leak in a hose and replaced the hose

Lets just say my cars dont go there!
Parts for a 5.0 are not as easy to come by over here where there is probably only a few hundred at a wild guess of 5.0 HO motors here.
Thanks for the advice will go look on ebay and there is an Edlebrock distributor not far from me so i will go see them tomorrow.
