Does anyone know the 0-60 and 1/4 mile speeds of the '87 convertable?

I know this doesn't totally answer your question, but to the best of my knowledge, mcLaren didn't do anything to the motors from that year on, so the specs would be VERY similar to a regular mustang 5.0 (minues a tad due to the lighter weight.

And specs all depends on who was driving the car. My friend could never get his stock mustang to run a 1/4 mile in under 14.5, while I got his car to run at 13.9s.

1984-1990 ascMcLaren 'Verts ran slower than their counterpart 1987-1993 Stock Mustang "Verts, due to the fact that they were heavier. Not talking any great difference here...perhaps 1/2 a second slower 0-60. I've been told, (but cannot verify) that the 1984-1986 Capri 5.0SC ascMcLaren 'Verts were faster than their 1987-1990 Mustang couterparts because some of them had the engine tweeks done to them by FoMoCo that the coupes had. Have never been able to prove this, one way or the other.

edit:

But if you think about it, the Capris rolling down the line, destined to go to ascMcLaren had no identifier to denote WHAT ascMcLaren would do to it! Keep it a coupe or convert to a convertible, right? D32 was the sole code, plus a paper sign on the roof saying ASC MC LAREN ~
