If it was separate and additional, what did it consist of, and why was the code only on '82 through '86 tags?

I have seen tags from several '85 and '86 McLarens that do not have NLR.

I have yet to see a tag from an '82-'86 SSP or an '84-'86 SVO with NLR.

Like fox said above....

My 85 doesn't have a NLR. And back to the original question that we are trying to find out - What is the difference between Mike's Car and mine (for example) ?

Mine had factory exhaust also.

NLR (noise Level Reduction) NLR, as it's called.......
Link?

It does appear that NLR is a very common engineering term in mechanical engineering circles.

Sounds like we have something here. I wonder what it is exactly.

I can tell you that from the tags I have data from, 'ST" is not "steel bumpers" and 'DF' is not "black" or "painted" door frames.

I hate it when I get bad info. Even more so when it seems to be supported with the specifics of my own vehicles. Grrr

OK, so I didn't keep myself current on the buck tag threads at FEP before posting those code explanations - sorry, my bad.

BUT, how about these:

ST = Power Steering
DF = Disc Front (as in Power Front Disc brakes)

FoxChassis - how does this fit will all the data you've been collecting on FEP??

Nope, not those either.

"ST" is also not "Sport Tuned" exhaust.
