Here is another one in case no one has seen this yet.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 0096828281
The ground effects look different than a normal '87-'88, they look more like the '89-'90s, but still different.
Note that rear storage compartments are gone for subwoofers.

It's a beautiful presentation. The most through & intensive I've ever seen on the web. The photography is flawless, and the car makes a terrific appearance. It will sell, and probably fast. From a purist stand-point, I would not want it. It's close to stock, but it's not. Many subtle changes to the owner's likes, but not to mine. I do admire the headlamp upgrades, and how someone managed to make them appear to be stock, but with vastly superior lighting. Not crazy about the wheels, actually like the originals better. The ground effects are from a 89/90 example and have had their finish lines bodyworked into the body. The seat BOTTOMS are not original material, as the OEMS did not have the horizontal stitching in them. The seat bottoms look like base model seat bottoms, recovered. Missing it's coach plaque on passenger's side. I'd guess he is selling it, as there is nothing left to do to it. All finished !

BEST OF LUCK! Purchase a "Brake Club" by "Law-Man" and always use it! It's one of very very few anti theft devices that REALLY works! Our cars are favorites for "disappearing" ~ It's a "looker" and the "wrong eyes" are prone to be attracted to these cars. Did you get her yet ?

Wow, only $8401? What a great deal. This is proof positive that it is better to buy a car that doesn't need anything, because it is so much cheaper than trying to restore one. The car really looks great. Congratulations.

Thanks, y'all. The reason it looks different is the last owner. He thought the body kit was weak, so he had it glassed together. The car needs a few things, but I'm ordering them tomorrow... (Mostly the top.)
The stereo is unbelievable. The previous owner is a Russian electrical engineer and he did all the stereo work himself.
Thanks again to Sandy for talking to me on the phone that night. His help was truly a gift.
When the shipper was unloading the car, he shredded the front airdam. I'm in the process of getting that replaced. I'll keep y'all posted.
This is the first ascMcLaren, but I have a stable full o' Fords.

THANKS !
Whenever you take her in for service, check out the angle of the ramp she'll be going up on. They will yank off the front air dam every time !!
Be there. Watch !! SOME lifts will crack & bend the side skirts, too. Try and find a place with full ramps like this I I rather than a X lift. MUCH safer. I think that I may have spoken to your seller on the phone a couple years back. I can't recall his last name, but there was a guy from Russia (originally) that I spoke with. Get yourself a BRAKE-club and use it. The theft rate is very high on these, in large towns and cities.
Best of luck, and we've here for you.

How bad did they F-up your front air dam? I would've been livid! Look out......Dingo wrote: When the shipper was unloading the car, he shredded the front airdam. I'm in the process of getting that replaced. I'll keep y'all posted.
Now, how does that work? Will the shipping co. pay for any damages in a situation like that? I have to deal with frieight co. occasionally for shipping in material for construction projects I'm doing, most of it is very delicate finish type stuff and there is a very high percentage of damage. And its a nightmare getting them to pay up for the damage. Its amazing. They are the ones to handle it from point A to B, but yet its someone elses fault its damaged.

Sandy, thanks for the advice, but I'm not worried. I do my own service and I have a 9k lb. Rotary lift with the extensions.
David, good to meet you. You should come see my babies some time.
Anyway, here's the damage. Forgive the crappy camera phone pics, but I left my good camera at home today.

The driver is going to PERSONALLY pay for the damage, and he's already acknowledged and signed to that fact.
