New Addition to the Family

Post by 88-254 »

Well, the husband could not just let me be the only one in the family with an ascMcLaren......A Snowball will be hitting Pennsyvania sometime in August.

One thing, it has been checked pretty well, and I think it will not have the same identity crisis as my girl. #254, alias #866. Keep all fingers and toes crossed, please.

I saw the first one and knew I wanted it, little problems and all. He saw mine and got bitten by a big Muscat bug. I tried to cure him, but he said nothing would work but having his own.

He is lucky to be married to a woman who likes cars, I think.

Congratulations!!!

Ok first things first. I am so happy for you! What a beautiful nice rare ASC you will have. Your hubby is definately blessed to have a wife like you who appreciates cars.

I was just curious now how did you come to the conclusion that your car's number is supposed to be #866? Is that supposed to be for the year or the series?

Nick, thank you so much for the Congratulations. :) It is very much appreciated.
I remind Jim of how lucky he is every once in a while.

The #866 is for the 88. Sandy figured it out from the VIN. It was 1st series, 2nd year. They did not start over numbering in the second year. Sandy can explain it much better than I. So my #254 that is on it, would be from a 1987.

Hi Cindy, what confused me was this. 479 made in '87 plus the 254 would equal #733 so I wondered how you got #866. Aside of that here is something rather ironic. If you add together the 479 made in '87 plus the 866 your vehicle # is you get my 1988 ASC which is #1345 lol. Pretty neat.
