That a 6 Cyl. ascMcLaren for 1986 Spring Special Edition did come with Marchal foggies.

Look here:

Sorry, Sandy, that is the 1983 Sports package. It has nothing to do with the way asc built the cars:

Scroll down to the "Sports Package Folder" which is the 4th item. That order form is for the sports package, not for ordering the asc package.

I checked my binder of ASC documents. The copy of that form in my binder "2-16-83" handwritten on the bottom. Looks like that corroborates your info Mike.

Okay, I see that, now.

So, okay, this raises a question that I cannot answer.

The coupe pf 1986 Capri ascMclaren 'Verts that were at Wayne L-M a week or two AFTER I took delivery of my '86 Coupe were on the floor.
Now, BOTH were the then brand spankin new Spring Specials, & I spend a long time looking them over ! Okay, so both had the full ground effects package. Being GS to begin with (said so on the window sticker from Mercury), they did not come with a FoMoCo front spoiler. So, ascMcLaren put on a front air dam and foggies -- so, you are saying that they used theHellas that are on MY coupe & your Coupe ?
Maybe.....no, I guess probably, but all this time I thought The Capri foggies were Marchal on 6 Cyl and that ascMcLaren borrowed the foggies from the RS to install onto the ASC front air dam....

Okay, then, I'll stand corrected and take up knitting....

If the ground effects were asc, they either had to be Hellas or asc had to have special ground effects for Marchals. I don't think any of us have witnessed an asc car with marchal sized openings...and it would have been costly to make a variation just to fit Marchals I think.

IMHO, I'm a little surprised asc didn't make the air dam work with Marchals but like was mentioned they mount completely differently than the Hellas, making them tough to fit in a recessed opening.
