Of the 21......
I see 3, perhaps 4, that are decent. 90% of the prices are too high. These are the same people that make fun of used car salesmen?? They are them, perhaps worse. Wrong pieces, not runing, some rust, This & that don't work and and and my dog ate the cake!

Its all about condition and miles. You need to post the car you are looking at for any kind of real ballpark figure.

A $500 McLaren? *Ouch!* Wow, you guys are tough! Think I'd buy that car just for the goldmine of parts...
I suspect I overpaid for my car in consideration of how much work it requires and is currently receiving. There won't be any rest until it's as close to flawless as is reasonably attainable and still have a vehicle one isn't 'afraid-to-drive'. Fortunately I have plenty of friends in low places who don't mind lending a greasy helping hand on a regular basis!
In retrospect it was definitely an 'impulse purchase', but taking the rarity into consideration, and the fact I considered a manual trans to be mandatory (just try finding a McLaren for sale with a 5-speed - it seems like 8 or 9 out of 10 built were automatics!)... it was a case where beggars can't be choosers. I would've gladly paid more for a nearly perfect example but they become available so rarely. Market dynamics of supply and demand kick in and there just weren't many to choose from, especially within comfortable driving distance. I wasn't looking specifically for this car (it found me) but I can't say I'm unhappy with the decision so far. From what I've seen it seems most people tend to hang onto these cars for a long, long time... must be a great reason for that!

Everyday I thank the Lord that the one I bought no one else saw or bid on. And the fact that the seller sold it to me for the highest bid when the bidder couldn't come up with $9,479.00!! It's as close to flawless as any car I've ever owned.
I would like a Motorcraft battery but I found they don't market one with the Motorcraft brand now.
Of course it rides like a concrete block, but so does my 1980 Corvette!
