In the process of installing my interior, it appears that any equipment that was not put in as a factory option, seems to have the wiring present.

Did FoMoCo always use the same harnesses no matter what incarnation of V8 mustang it was building?

For instance, the power wires for the GT seats are present and I connected the wires to the seats I installed so the air bags for your back will inflate. I did not however test the wires for power yet. Can I count on them working as long as the fuse is present? (I have not put all the fuses in yet.)

Are the harnesses for the electric power mirrors present that I can upgrade them? I haven't been able to identify this harness.

So far I have been lucky in that every time I plug something in, it works unless the bulb was burned out and I changed it.

I can recall on my '88 and '89 LX hatchbacks that I no longer own, the GT driving light wires were present and all I had to do was add the GT switch to the interior and add connectors to an aftermarket set of lights.

Can it be this easy?

I think on the 87+ cars it is.

On the 86 and older cars though it isn't. They used different harness for different applications.

OK, the passengers seat inflates, but not the drivers. 50% is not bad I guess.

I'll follow up here if the mirrors work out.

if the driver seat did not work then most likely something is wrong with the seat. i have done a few 4banger to v8 swaps and a lot of that stuff is there. quad shock holes, right and left exhaust hanger holes. i think there is ever hatchback wiring in the trunk for the light switch. just plug in the fuses and the wires and you should be good
