A change in my signature

Post by Euro#13 »

For the first time in nearly nine years, I am not an owner of an asc/McLaren.
My 1986 EuroCoupe is now in the hands of it's new owner and I am happy to say that it went to a fellow asc/McLaren enthusiast that is already a member of this message board.
I didn't try very hard to advertise the car in too many placed because I wanted to make sure it went to a good home where it would be appreciated for what it was and not get lost in the crowd by getting turned into another Capri with a Mustang nose & decklid.
It was hard to see it go, but in the big picture of things it was something that I had to do.
I plan on getting another coupe to replace it but before I do that I need to focus on building a larger garage before I commit to adding another car to the stable. It's just too difficult to enjoy my collection when more than half of it has to be stored several miles from my house.

Thanks,
Brent

It's very possible that it may be for sale in the spring.

Well, stick around. I'm sure, you'll be looking for another asc before too long.

There is one that I would buy in a heartbeat, but I promised my wife that I would not buy anything more until we have the garage space.
She is tired of not being able to park in the garage in the winter because it is full of summer only cars. And with the price of storage fees going the way they are I can build a bigger garage with a home equity loan and come out ahead of the game.

Brent,

Thanks for the car! I really enjoyed the ride home! I forgot how nice it was to have a automatic!

David,

You're welcome, I'm glad it went to a good home and I'm sure you will enjoy it.
Did you get on it at all on the way home? :burnout:
How do you like that full throttle 1-2 shift?

Brent,

The trip home was great! I didn't put the pedal to the metal unit I got close to home, and yes that 1st ,2nd shift was great! Did you install a shift kit?

It feels like it has one doesn't it? Pretty firm without being overly harsh.
I didn't put one it in though, it was like that when I bought it.
