convert electrical

Post by Dr Cobra »

Has anybody put the tonneau cover solenoid on a different switch from the pull-down motor so that the solenoid isn't energized while the pull-down is running? This would give the motor more voltage to run.

Thanks, I was thinking of using another switch hidden under seat maybe to control solenoid, but I will look into using a timer also.

I did eventually replace the pull-down motor, and the top. But I left the timer circuit in place and it still works great, no other switches necessary.
