Interior door panel light & tie-rod ends

Post by knsstang »

Hello all... I've tried searching the resources and the archives but can't find what I'm looking for. What type of tie-rod ends were usedon the 89 ASC? What type of vehicle can I that interior door panel light out of. I believe that I read it was from a Lincoln, but I don't know which year and make. Can any one help?

Thanks a lot... That helped quite a bit. Trying to get my car back in order.
I'm torn between buying new( different type) or reupholstering mine.
I found the tie-rod information( Turbo Coupe) and 1 inch lowering springs... http://www.ascmclaren.org/WhatIsAnAscMcLaren.html

In that paragraph, he's talking about '85-86 Capri coupes. I don't think that it applies to Mustang convertibles.

Figured I'd use that as a starting point for lowering my car. You think the suspension on the 89's are the same as factory mustang? Springs, shocks, tie-rod ends, struts?

Stock Capris and Stock Mustangs from Ford were 100% identical in the suspension stuff.

Pretty sure the only thing asc might have changed for the Mustangs would be the springs. Everything else would be the same as Ford. But I am not a vert expert.
