Car talk

Hi Maggie & Callie. Glad you are enjoying the car. Like any older car, you probably both love it and hate it. LOL. Tell Callie the Allante is for sale, we are moving to Oklahoma, and I don't think it would make a good Oklahoma car!!! My eMail is danstarley@cox.net in case you have any questions ...

Hi Maggie, its Dan Starley. Don't visit this forum much any more so was surprised to see you here. I can't believe its been a year. Sorry about your transmission problem. I'm looking forward to some photos with the new paint and wheels. I purchased a '90 Cadillac Allante to replace the McLaren. It's ...

Beautiful...first one I've ever seen where the seat-belts actually roll up all the way!! I'd like to put it in my living-room.

Yes Sandy, that's mine. The listing, however, was from about six months before I bought it from them. They must have listed it, and it did not sell. Waited some months and re-listed...that's when I bought it.

I see quite a few McLarens currently on eBay that are not selling too well...maybe I ...

OK guys...I'm starting to draft another listing for eBay on my gray '88. I'm thinking a Buy-it-Now of $8K, and a reserve of $7.4K. Is that reasonable. Still prefer to sell it to one of you for $7K!

Thanks for all the input guys. All good advice, and I will produce a "killer" listing soon as I get over not selling it the first time! Of course I won't need to re-list it if one of you guys buys it! First $7K and it's yours. Thanks again.

I'm afraid I have no record of the original selling dealer. It is a beauty Sandy, I hope someone here gives it a good home. Men and their cars...go figure!

Hi Sandy. Yes it runs very well...every now and then I have to accelerate hard just for the fun of it. It's completely stock, not even a K&N air filter! I'm the third owner and only have a partial service history on it. It looks like it has received normal maintenance with no special repairs other ...

I've not seen another gray one for sale, but that doesn't mean there hasn't been one. When I first started looking for a play car I was interested in the Allante, the Reatta, the Chrysler TC, and any special edition Mustang. I hated the top sticking up on the regular Mustang convertible, but the ...

Thanks Nick. It came from Michigan from an elderly gent. I gave it my best shot because I really loved the McLaren. It's getting hot here in Phoenix, and if you can't get in the car with the top up, then you have no A/C. That's not good!
