This explains the differences that I noticed in the seats. I mentioned it in the other posting that the seats did not appear to be original 84 seats. I'm now guessing they could be from when ASC "redid" the car. ???????????

Looking back through the older postings I found information on the carrera 5375 shocks and the thunderbird turbo coupe tie rod ends. Is this the correct stuff for the 84 verts?? This forum is a total gold mne of information. Y'all do an excellent job of representing the Mclaren as a whole ...

I haven't had the chance to dig too deep yet, but everything relating to the engine of the 84 ASC convertible looks to be the same as the 20th anniversary Mustang convertible. My father-in-law has two of them, so we can compare the cars side-by-side. That decal is the same for both cars.
